Near Tenaya Lake, banks of fog silently rolled across the road and I was forced to pull off and wait on a narrow shoulder. Higher, hiking near Tuolumne Meadows, large snowflakes fell, covering small patches of yellowed grass. About a hundred yards away, two small boys are having a snowball fight.
